About the program

Filmmaker Services is a fee-for-service program. We provide a free consultation to every project. Then if the filmmaker or film team wants to explore working together, we put together a proposal designed to work within that team's budget.

Filmmaker services are tailored to each project based on its needs, and they often include

• Story building and story consultation

• Feedback on concepts, scripts, and rough cuts

• Pitch training for funders and investors

• Writing and editing grant applications and other pitch materials

Who you’ll work with

Filmmaker Services is led by John Van Wyck, who worked for eight years at the New York-based production company and film foundation Cinereach, where as a Creative Executive he helped discover new filmmakers and projects.

During John’s time there, Cinereach supported, financed, or produced over 200 films, including Sorry to Bother You, The Last Black Man in San Francisco, The Florida Project, The Diary of a Teenage Girl, The Witch, as well as the Academy Award-nominated films I Am Not Your Negro, Cutie and The Boxer, and Beasts of the Southern Wild.
