Irma Čakarić

Irma Čakarić is a filmmaker based in Denver, Colorado, who has made a number of short films and documentaries. One of Irma’s notable works is “Third Culture Kid” (2019), which explores her experience growing up in a family of Bosnian immigrants who survived the Bosnian War and now live in the United States.
Having attended and graduated from Colorado Film School, Irma is currently earning her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Cinema Production at CU Boulder. She has worked on a variety of film projects in different roles, including writer, director, producer, and editor.
Irma’s work often explores themes of identity, cultural heritage, social justice, and, at times, purely visual pieces that explore the medium of film. Most recently, Irma was awarded a CU Boulder Grillo Award for her work on the film, “The Artist is Present” (2022).
